The West Sussex Adult and Community Learning Services are running a course that will examine the impact of nutrition on the energy, learning, mood and behaviour of children with Autistic Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD)
It is an introductory course and no previous knowledge of nutrition is required. The course has been designed for parents and families of children with ASD and ADHD.
The course will cover how the digestive system functions and will include issues such as blood sugar balance, key nutritional deficiencies, food intolerances and gut-related disturbances in children with ASD and ADHD. Dietary approaches will be examined and there will be two cookery sessions to put the theory into practice.
The course commences this Wednesday, 21st September from 6.45pm to 8.30pm at Millais School in Horsham. There will be five sessions, run by Jaccqui Merridew. Please click here for more information.
