The clinic has long been concerned that the current NHS structure largely currently precludes people attending the Centre under NHS funding, although this has always been our ethos. We do have several specific NHS contracts but the Clinic has always considered that, particularly in areas where unsatisfactory services are provided by the NHS, that patients should have the opportunity to be seen on the NHS at the Centre. It abhors the current system where government policy has not allowed it to compete on a level playing field with the NHS. To this end, Dr Kewley, CEO of the Centre, had the following letter published in The Daily Telegraph recently.
