Dr Rutterford is involved in The HealthEat project, a multi-site research application to the Marie Curie Initial Training Network along with colleagues from universities in Maastricht, Ghent, Freiburg, Birmingham and Swansea.
The HealthEat project will increase knowledge of the psychological processes that contribute to overeating and obesity in children and adults. The aim is to translate basic research findings from the interface of psychology and neuroscience into more effective interventions for health behaviour change.
